Spider-Man: Far From Homes Two Post-Credits Scenes Revealed

Which was ultimately upended by Nick Fury’s request to defeat a set of Elementals. Mind you, Peter Parker still needs to graduate from high school. We then see Nick Fury taking the call on what looks to be a beach. But Fury is not on a well-deserved vacation — he’s just relaxing in a simulator on a massive space station. Whatever Fury is planning for the next phase of the Avengers, it will take place in space.

Their leader was Abigail Brand, a green-haired half-alien/half-mutant. In their first appearance, they helped the X-Men save the Earth from the threat of Breakworld. And they’ve made numerous appearances ever since, even receiving their own limited series. Among their prominent members are the X-Man Beast and Spider-Woman. They were created to protect Earth from hostile alien threats.

Who are those green aliens?

Even though S.H.I.E.L.D. technically was reformed as a shell of what it once was on the series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., there needs to be something bigger than that to prepare the world for a much more powerful threat from the stars. S.W.O.R.D makes perfect sense to introduce into the MCU post-Endgame. Whatever it is, it’s clear Carol and Fury decided the necessary step was to get Fury onto a Skrull ship, leaving Talos behind to take care of what’s on Earth. Given that Maria Hill is also a Skrull, the real Hill could very well also be with Fury.

The Thor and Doctor Strange crossover in the post-credits of the 2016 movie delighted both fandoms. As Strange settles into his role of master of the Sanctum Sanctorum, he's visited by Thor Odinson, who's dragged Loki to earth and enlists the Doctor's help in tracking down their father. The post-credits scene could have major implications for the MCU as a whole, with the dramatic reveal that Nick Fury and Maria Hill are not actually who they say they are.

Beck uses Spider-Man telling Tony Stark’s security system EDITH to “execute” his instructions and pits it against him. Instead of the webhead being shown as the hero, sending the Mysterio-controlled drones away before disaster struck, he’s seen as a cold-blooded killer. In one fell swoop, Mysterio makes Spider-Man seem responsible for the London attack, framing him for that, as well as his death. There’s also the added caveat of it now looking like Spider-Man has an army of drones at his disposal. This has major implications for Spider-Man moving forward.

As is standard with Marvel movies, there were post credit scenes – two in fact – that drops several hints about the next film in the Spider-verse. The first MCU film following the epic conclusion of the Infinity Saga and the second Spider-Man film starring Tom Holland includes two post-credits scenes. One will appear immediately following the end of the movie - technically a mid-credits scene - and the second after the credits finish. There are two must-watch end-credits scenes that will have fans talking long after the movie is over. The last one will change the way you see the entire movie.

Not only will he have a target on his back as he tries to clear his name, but having his identity revealed complicates matters, especially for a high schooler. What's even better is that Jameson is played by J.K. Simmons, who was in the role during the Sam Raimi-directed Spider-Man trilogy that starred Tobey Maguire. Jameson tells his viewers Spider-Man is a villain and the scene ends with Peter and MJ watching in shock.

But the video has been edited to make it sound like Spider-Man says just, “execute them all.” Fake gunfire plays, and it is implied that Spider-Man has killed innocent people. But we are here to explain to the uninitiated just what S.W.O.R.D. is, and how they could play a very important role in the MCU going forward. Fury’s vacation raises a few questions about how the Skrulls have thrived since Captain Marvel helped them find a new home, and how close of a relationship humans and Skrulls have. Also, with Nick Fury ending his “vacation,” it seems like the Avengers — or some form of them — will soon be ready to get back in action … which we’ll have to wait for in a future movie. Throughout the events of the film, I kept thinking Nick Fury seemed a little out of character; after all, he did seem to trust Quentin Beck a little too quickly for my taste. There was also a quick one-off line he and Maria Hill had where they mentioned a Kree outpost that immediately grabbed my interest but was never got brought up again—a quick line that quickly got interrupted and forgotten about.

Instead of being the Daily Bugle editor, he now appears to be some sort of shock jock, minus the cigar and with a little less hair on the top of his head. Jameson is appearing on the news channel to spout off about the public menace that is Spider-Man. In it, an altered video clip from Quentin Beck of Mysterio and Spider-Man’s final showdown in London starts playing.

Historically, the Skrulls have been villains in the Marvel comics, but Captain Marvel positioned them as allies of Nick Fury and Carol Danvers. Fake Fury does mention "Kree sleeper cells" to Maria Hill as a side-comment in this Spider-Man movie. At this Point the pair notice a breaking news story on a screen above a train station. In it Mysterio who was killed in the final battle, talks in a pre-recorded message, blaming Spider-Man for a drone stroke on Tower Bridge, and, in a shock twist, reveals that Peter Parker is Spider-Man.

The illusion of the golden sands and lapping waves disappears and it’s revealed that the ex-Director of S.H.I.E.L.D is on his own secret mission somewhere in the outer reaches of space. There are some Skrulls around him, and Fury ends the scene by telling them to find his shoes. The mid-credits scene sees Spider-Man and Mary Jane swinging around New York City when they come across a video billboard showing J. He has gotten hold of Mysterio's posthumous message that frames Spider-Man for his actions in London and reveals that Peter Parker is Spider-Man. In the second post-credits scene, we see what look to be SHIELD Agents Nick Fury and Maria Hill.

J.K. Simmons then appears on screen reprising his role as J. Jonah Jameson, the head of the fictional New York City tabloid. Peter's about to head off when a breaking news report comes on a screen on the side of Madison Square Garden. The newsman says he has "disturbing revelations" about last week's attack in London. And since the Asgardians are living on Earth now with little of their advanced tech at their disposal, it makes sense that he’d reach out to Talos and the Skrull refugees he met back in the ’90s. Although they departed to unknown worlds at the end of Captain Marvel, Carol would know where they were and how to contact them on Fury’s behalf if need be.

‘Spider-Man’ Director Explains Those Post-Credits Scenes and What They Mean for the MCU

Is this the same version of Jameson who we saw in the Tobey Maguire era of "Spider-Man" movies? The video plays, and we see Mysterio speaking into a camera. He says that he is being attacked by Spider-Man for some reason. Mysterio then says that Spider-Man plans to kill anyone who tries to take Iron Man’s place — that Spider-Man believes he is the only rightful heir to Tony Stark. The image cuts out, and we see Spider-Man’s feet behind Mysterio. In reality, the computer program stored inside Tony’s glasses, EDITH, had asked Spider-Man if he would like to “execute” the orders to cancel all the drones.

The scene picks up right where the movie ended with MJ and Peter Parker across the street from Madison Square Garden in New York City after the two flew through the city skies. Menu icon A vertical stack of three evenly spaced horizontal lines. Last we saw Talos and the Skrulls, Captain Marvel was headed into space to find them a new home away from persecution in the 1990s. It seems that since then Fury has aligned with the Skrulls for some greater purpose, perhaps in response to Thanos’ intergalactic attack.

From Spider-Man to The Avengers and Eternals — 7 of the best superhero movie post-credit scenes of all time

The report itself features The Daily Bugle’s J. Jonah Jameson, played by none other than J.K. The actor reprises his role as the eccentric publisher from the Sam Raimi trilogy, revealing a video that has been edited by Mysterio’s accomplices to paint Spider-Man as the real villain behind the events overseas. Peter is shown taking control of EDITH back before giving the kill order on the drones that were used to create the illusion of the Elementals and wreak havoc on London. Instead, this Jameson is showing off exclusive footage from Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio, who was previously revealed to both Peter and the audience as a con man and fraud. And then came the second post-credits scene, revealing that, no, the Nick Fury and Maria Hill we’ve been following throughout the film are not the real Fury and Hill. Instead, they’re Talos and his wife, two of the shapeshifting Skrulls from Captain Marvel.

If the MCU is going to take a more cosmic bent going forward, they are going to need something like S.W.O.R.D. Especially with the Avengers seemingly done as a group . Though it’s more likely that we will learn more about these at D23 the following month, there’s still a very good chance Marvel Studios might give us some information about their upcoming Disney+ projects at Comic-Con. It has been confirmed by the studio that three series will be coming to the streaming service but for the most part, details have remained under wraps about them. In short, they’rebig, perhaps the biggest Marvel has ever offered in this format, and they’re hard not to get excited over .
